I'm back!

I know I have been gone for quite a while, well I'm back! I had been busy with school(college), work, family and working out. It could be hard to juggle so many things at once but somehow I have to get it all done. As the end of the semester was approaching I had to focus and study a little extra to pass my final examinations, I'm happy to say that the Spring 2010 semester is now behind me and I passed all my classes! Summer 2010 I & II here I come(wish me luck, I will need it)!!
Many days I get frustrated and I want to give up but I don't, I know someday I will have my degree and it will all be worth it. The social gatherings missed, the restless nights, everything will be worth it. I'm reaching to graduate in 2013, hopefully! I work full time so I have to push myself a little extra to NOT come home and relax after a long day of work. I have to come home and hit the textbooks. I'm studying to obtain a Bachelor's Degree-Interdisciplinary Studies with EC-6 Bilingual Generalist Certification. I attend college full time so I take at least 4 classes per semester. My day starts early in the morning, I head to work and work a 9 hour shift. Once done with work I head to the gym, I try to squeeze in 2 hours Mon-Thu. After that I come home and spend some time with my family. My day doesn't end there, I still need to do homework or study. On Fridays I relax, I only work half a day and do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day! You might be asking yourself what do I study for during the week if I don't attend classes during the week?! Well I spent my weekends for the last 16 weeks stuck in school, once this semester was over I told myself no more weekends classes. From now on part of my weekends will be dedicated to homework/studying, the other part to my lovely family. Of course somewhere in the busy days ahead of me I will need to make some time to work out. A few months ago I started working out(AGAIN). I set a long term goal for myself, this goal was to lose 30lbs by the summer. Sadly the summer is here and I have not fully accomplished my goal... but I'm happy with the results I have so far. I have lost 21lbs! Now that's I've lost 21lbs I still don't think I will be completely satisfied with 30lbs so I've added 5 more lbs. I gave myself the month of July to lose 14lbs, I will keep you guys posted on how all that works out.
For now I have one more week off from school and I intend to relax and enjoy it with my husband and family!

Until next time...

National Mom's Nite Out

Yesterday was the 2nd Annual National Mom's Nite Out across the country. This event is the first nationally organized celebration of motherhood. It is celebrated online, social networks, and many retailers across the nation. Here in Houston The Galleria is the the host of the grand event. It was a night to pamper and spoil our Houstonians Mamis. We were entertained by Ayana Mack from Mix 96.5. It was a night full of fun, wine, and chocolate! We had our hair done by Toni&Guy, and our make up by Sephora. One of my favorite sponsors was Sephora, the make up artist used the new TEMPTU AIRbrush Make up system, which I fell in love with. Great coverage, very easy to use, mess-proof. Some of things the available for the system are foundations, blushes and shimmers. It is available in many colors and we got the inside word that many more colors are coming soon! I also enjoyed the Godiva booth, don't forget they have great gift boxes for Mother's Day.

We bought a raffle ticket which entered us in the drawing to win several prices, one of them included a $50 gift card from Sephora. We were able to enter several other raffles one of them was for a $100 gift card to Intimacy{Bra Fit Stylists}. It was a great night, we all need some "ME" time and what a better way than getting pampered!

If you missed out this year, make sure you don't miss it next year! You could check out more information about the event and register to find great deals and win amazing prices on their official website

Happy Mother's Day!

Welcome To My World

Hello! My name is Christy, I'm a proud Latina. I work and attend school full time, I'm happily married to the love of my life. We met in 2004 and we have been together since then. I love to spend time with my family and friends, and this is how it all started(blogging)... One girls nite in while planning my sister in law's wedding she was blogging and she decided to teach us a trick or two about blogging. I liked it so much that I decided to start my own blog. This is the reason why I picked my display name, I'm new to this and I will appreciate any tips or comments you might have to help me become an expert blogger! I hope you guys enjoy my posts!
