Hello Houston! Media Pedal Party Review & Giveaway!

***Disclosure-Thanks to Pedal Party and Little Soya for sponsoring our 1st meet up for the Hello Houston Media Bloggers and Blog Free - Houston and Beyond. Any opinions stated are my own.

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to meet an awesome group of Local Bloggers and their spouses. Thanks to Little Soya and Pedal Party for sponsoring the first Meet up of Hello Houston! Media.

We had an awesome time at our very own Pedal Party! Have you ever heard or seeing a Pedal Party Bike?
It was my first time hearing and seen this man powered party bike. Each bike can hold up to 16 party goers, 15 seated and one standing in the middle as "your bartender". Physically it's about the size of a cargo van and travels at an average speed of between 5 and 8 miles per hour.

Meet our "Bartender", my SIL, Alba from Independent Mami. The Pedal Party is BYOB you may bring any canned alcohol beverage aboard. Our bartender kept everyone well hydrated while we pedaled away through Midtown.

Meet our captains, Stephanie & Nate. We start the party by meeting them, going over the rules and signing waivers. They gave us a few intructions and how and when to pedal. As you can see above they are two characters. They kept the music going and the party moving forward.

Check out Nate's shirt... "My PP is bigger than yours." Party and fun all around! He was a great captain had us laughing, dancing and pedaling.

Here is the group on the Dorothy Nell, that was the name of our bike. Fellow Bloggers on board Joanna from Madame Mariposa, Maria from MomandChild1215, Lacey from Charm and Sass, Alba from Independent Mami and Kristin from Surf and Sunshine

We stopped at 3 bars in Midtown Christian's Tailgate, Porch Swing Pub, and Liberty Station. When you are setting up your rental they will give you the options of what spots you can visit.

The Pedal Party is rented on an hourly basis like any other party bus or other special event rental vehicles; How the rental time is spent is up to the renter. Generally the Pedal Party is used as a safe, fun way to do a pub crawl/bar crawl or progressive dinner, but does not, necessarily, require stopping during the rental period. People often rent the Pedal Party for events such as Bachelor Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Team Building events, corporate events, Birthday Parties, company parties, tailgating, cyclist group events, parades, conventions and more.

Tips for attending a Pedal Party:

  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Flats, sneakers, shorts, tank tops. Avoid such things as sandals and black clothes if it's summer time.
  • If you're short like me(5'1) make sure you pick an adjustable seat. There are 2 adjustable seats on each side of the bike.
  • Leave all valuables at home or in your car.
  • Do not leave your cell phone on the bar/table top. It is very slippery and it can fly off the bike specially if the bike is turning.
  • Use the ladies/gentlemen room at your stops, as you can see there is no RR on the PP Bike.

To plan your own party you can find Pedal Party online at www.pedal-party.com. You can call also call for more information to 832-429-6977.

Would you like to win your own Pedal Party? All of the Hello Houston! Media Bloggers who attended this event are joining together to give away a 2 hour Pedal Party and a Little Soya Prize Pack!
